The Referees’ Association of England is the administrative organisation that serves the common interests of the membership which is administered by a Board of Management of 9 members who are elected to serve for a maximum of 3 x 3 year terms of office, with three members retiring annually in rotation.

The Members of the Board have nominated Arthur WS Smith from Bromsgrove Society to be the RAE representative on the FA Referees Committee
Arthur Smith has been nominated to serve as an FA Council member following the Lord Burns report on the FA and subsequent motion that referees should have a place on the FA Council.
David Elleray is the Honorary President of the RAE
Members of the Board meet together 4 times a year but carry out work on behalf of the membership throughout the year.
