ABOUT US
The Society was formed in 1923 and in 1998 celebrated its 75th Anniversary.
The Society is aimed at Referees in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
For the 2009-2010 season we will be meeting at Bournemouth Sports Club, otherwise known as Chapel Gate. The venue website is
Meetings are usually held on the last Thursday of each month and start at 7.30pm. Please see the Events Tab for up-to-date information regarding all meetings & social events.
We are members of the Referees Association and are affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association. We have between 60 to 80 members each season from various levels of Refereeing.
We have members who officiate on the local Bournemouth FA Saturday and Sunday Leagues, the Sydenhams Wessex League, the Southern and Western Leagues and the Bournemouth Youth Leagues.
Members are encouraged to come along and learn from other members advice and guidance. We are all here to help each other, even if you are not a member, you are welcome to come along and talk to our Secretary about joining.
Many of the top referees, including Howard Webb and Mike Riley, have put part of their success down to being active members of the Referees' Association (RA) and have received help & guidance along the way.
Come along to the meetings and gain knowledge, ask questions and above all learn in a supportive and constructive atmosphere.
