Welcome to website of The Jersey Football Referees' Association The Jersey Football Referees' Association is open to all football referees in the Island of Jersey. We have around 30 active and 10 "slightly less-active" members who officiate on the Jersey Football Combination (Mens, Ladies and Youth leagues) and are also appointed to officiate in Jersey Football Association and FA Cup & Vase competitions. Our meetings, to which all members and non-members are welcome. are held monthly, usually on the fourth Monday in the month, starting at 7.30pm. They are usually held in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor at Springfield Stadium. Next JFRA Meetings JFRA Committee Meetings in 2010 will be held on the following Mondays, all starting at 7.00pm at St Clement Sports Club: 13th September, 11th October, 15th November.   JFRA meetings for the 2nd half of 2010 will be held on the following dates: 27th September, 25th October, 29th November - all starting at 7.30pm in the Springfield Meeting Room.      Annual Dinner/Christmas Dinner/Social events Details of the next social event will be shown here.    Respect Training Andy Cox, the Jersey Referees Development Officer will be running training sessions regarding the Respect Programme, which is due to be implemented during the coming season. The courses are scheduled to be run on the evenings of 15th, 20th and 28th July at a time and location to be advised. To allow Andy to plan the events, please advise him of the date that you would wish to attend. You can contact Andy at Andy.Cox@jerseyfa.com    Fitness Tests On behalf of the Jersey FA Referees Committee, all referees are invited to attempt the fitness test or test their fitness levels for the coming season. Referees wishing to be considered for senior JFA appointments and/or promoted to level 5 should complete the fitness test. This comprises a minimum run of 2200m (5 and a half laps) in 12min, then following a short rest, 2 x 50m sprints in 7.5 sec each. Officials wishing to be considered as referee or senior AR for inter-insular and off-island appointments should complete the run to 2500m (6 and a quarter laps) plus the sprints. If anyone wishes to take the test, or has any other questions, please contact a member of the JFA Referees Committee (Mick Blampied, Andy Bradshaw, Andy Cox, Paul Daniel, Mark Le Cornu, Gill Morgan or Charlie Tostevin).    Subscriptions The JFRA Subscription for the 2010/2011 season have been set as follows: >   Active referees - £30  -  this is discounted to £25 if paid before 30th September. >   Social Members - £10 >   Junior Members & those in full time education - £10.
